Second update:
Still a long way to go. Probably about 50 or so hours now, i'm really enjoying myself.
I'm using a technique similar to one i learned while i was in Italy for the woman. It basically involves me drawing in very fine, tiny little circles with a 4h pencil, and then picking out any uneven tones with a putty rubber. and adding bits where needed. It makes the image quite smooth and hopefully more pleasing to the lady's eye who wouldn't like to see a rough and rugged looking skin texture... It is a commission after all
The hair's going to be a crazy challenge for me!!!

Your hiperrealistic drawings are stunning! Every time I was seeing those here on da I was wondering how the heck all those people keep such perfect proportions? I was suspecting the criss-cross, but weren't assured Aren't you thinking of uploading an artwork in which you didn't use the criss-cross (honestly I don't even know how it's called) someday? Anyway it's so perfect and detailed. 50h? Im jealous of your patience! Wonderful
