After spending 3 years in a university that was very un-supportive of my work, and having to entwine myself with the pompousness of the art world with all its 'juxtaposition' and other mind numbing jargon, i had come very close to losing all my enthusiasm and passion for art. The title and act felt serious and as if forced upon me in a way that just distanced me from it.
But after a couple of years break from art, where i have done a lot of travelling, camping, reading and learning, i dabbled in it again. I found that my fire feels like its back, only this time im coming back with experience and presence on my shoulders. I feel, though i have a long way to go in many people's eyes, that i now look at work very clearly and can difine what makes something great vs something immense. I have been working on a new self portrait for the last 3 months, and its coming along great

Placebo Second Year Art Exhibition
You are invited to attend the private view of our second year art exhibition titled PLACEBO. This event will be held at the Alexandra Gallery on Wednesday the 16th of December 2009, from 6.30pm 8.30pm. Light refreshments will be available.
(Exhibition runs from 14th December 2009 20th January 2010, Monday Friday, 9.30am 5pm. Closed 24th December 4th January)

Commisions anyone?
I am going to begin commisions, anybody who would like to commission me i will do anything, i will do animals, portraits, celebrities, anything, you name it.
The paper i use will be expentive strathemore or Bristol, which ever you prefer, i will even throw in a frame for an extra £10.
The Price range will be as follows.
5x7- £60
8x10- £100
11x14- £150
14x20- £300
These are all in pencil, if anyone should want any bigger please dont hesitate to contact me. I am really short of money and this is something i really enjoy.
